Welcome to the Foreign Material Exclusion Industry Working Group (FME IWG).
Our Vision: Eliminate foreign material intrusion events in the nuclear industry in support of the industry goal of zero fuel failures by aligning industry practices and programs.
Our Mission: Develop and communicate standards for best practices that enable the nuclear industry to achieve and sustain excellence in Foreign Material Exclusion (FME).
Membership in the FME IWG is recommended to be the FME Coordinator or specialist from each utility. Individuals from other disciplines or organizations are welcome to attend meetings as guests, however, recognizing that the FME Coordinator/station representative maintains responsibility as the member of the Working Group.
